Excel: Delete all hyperlinks on a sheet in Excel 2003/XP/2000/97

Question:  I’ve had a hyperlink problem in my Excel files for ages: false hyperlinks had crept in (even in empty cells) and were multiplying regularly whenever I inserted new lines. How can I delete all hyperlinks in a sheet at once and not have to delete them cell by cell?

Answer:  You will need to create a macro to delete the hyperlink addresses in your Excel sheet.

Open your Excel spreadsheet that you wish to remove the hyperlinks from. Press <ALT>-F11 to go to the Visual Basic editor. Create a new module. You can do this by selecting Module under theInsert menu.

Paste the following code into your new module:

Sub RemoveHyperlinks()

‘Remove all hyperlinks from the active sheet
ActiveSheet.Hyperlinks.Delete

End Sub

Close the Visual Basic editor window by selecting "Close and Return to Microsoft Excel" under the File menu.

Now, go to the sheet that contains the hyperlinks that you wish to delete. Here is an example of a sheet with multiple hyperlink addresses:

 

Under the Tools menu, select Macro > Macros. Highlight the macro called "RemoveHyperlinks" and click on the Run button.

Now your hyperlinks should be deleted as you can see by the example below:

If you need to remove hyperlinks from other sheets, just repeat the steps above.

Running Multiple Instances of Google Talk

Other than Windows Live (MSN) Messengerand Yahoo! Messenger,users of Google Talk (GTalk) can also let Google Talk go to polygamy, that’s running multiple instances of Google Talk and login to multiple Google accounts on Google Talk. The polygamy trick can be done without any crack, patch or hack, with just a simple command line parameter or switch (/nomutex) appended to the Google Talk shortcut.

Ability to polygamy running multiple Google Talk is useful if users have multiple Google Talk accounts (or Google or Gmail accounts that used to login to GTalk) or multiple profiles or personalities, and don’t want to log on and off from one account to another account every time when want to switch, or want to log in to all accounts at the same time on the same computer.

You can add the /nomutex switch or parameter to existing Google Talk shortcut, or create a new shortcut with the /nomutex command line parameter.

To edit existing Google Talk shortcut:

  1. Right click on the Google Talk shortcut.
  2. On the right click contextual menu, click on Properties.
  3. Go to Shortcut tab on Google Talk Properties window.
  4. On the Target textbox, add in the /nomutex to the end of the line so that it looks like below (or you can simply copy and paste the below syntax and replace the original).

    “c:\program files\google\google talk\googletalk.exe” /nomutex

  5. Click on OK.

To create a new shortcut for Google Talk:

  1. Right-click on the desktop or anywhere you want to place the GTalk shortcut.
  2. Select New on the right click context menu.
  3. Then select Shortcut.
  4. Copy and paste the following line to the text box when prompted to type the location of the item:

    “c:\program files\google\google talk\googletalk.exe” /nomutex

  5. Click on Next.
  6. Give the shortcut a proper name such as Google Talk or Google Talk Multiple or Google Talk Polygamy.
  7. Click OK until you are done.

We often had to share a single computer with more than one person particularly when we are surfing internet in cyber cafe or when we are using internet from our school or college internet lab most of the time we had to share a single computer with more than one person and the problem arise when we try to login to some online chatting client likeGoogle Talk or Yahoo Messenger …
Anyway as far as Yahoo Messenger is concerned I got a cool and simple tricks in Digit Forumby which multiple user can log in to Yahoo Messenger from from a single computer….!
Follow the steps….!

1. Click Start > Run > Regedit > Enter
2. Then go to:-
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Yahoo/Pager/Test
3. In right side panel right click > create a new Dword value > Name Plural > value 1.
4.close the registry editor > restart your computer

Thats all.. You are done….!
For signing in with new YAHOO ID open another messenger open as many messengers you need and if you want to disable this feature then open registry editor > change Plural value 1 to 0.

How to Log-in Multiple Users in SKYPE

Skype Version 4.0 (2/9/2009)

With version 4.0, Skype has added a new switch for supporting multiple users on a single PC. The following steps would show how to create a new shortcut for starting a new Skype instance with a different Skype user account.

       Open Windows Explorer and go to "C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone."

       Right click on the Skype icon and select "Create Shortcut."

       Right click on the new shortcut and select "Properties."

       Append " /secondary" to "Target" to become ‘"C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe" /secondary.’

       Click OK to save the change.

       Give the new shortcut a new name and move it to anywhere you desired.

       When you click on this new shortcut, a new Skype window will appear and you can log on using another Skype account.

You can also run the new Skype instance under another Windows user account. Right-click on the new icon while holding down the shift key, then select "Run as." See below for more details.

Setting up multiple Skype account on a PC

You have a Skype account on your computer, but so does your wife / husband, and so does your kids? None of you want to miss your important Skype calls from your friends. There is no need to fight over who should / shouldn’t be logged-in on your only computer at home. So here is the way around the brewing storm:

Build up a new user account in Windows XP:

1. Start -> Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Create a new account (Under Pick a task.)
2. Key-in your new account name in the “type a name for the new account:” box -> Next
3. Click Computer Administrator -> Create Account

Give the account you just created a password:

1. Start -> Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Left-click on the new account you just created.
2. Left-click on Create a password -> Enter the password two times and enter the password hint -> Create Password
